Ready to ask the big question? It starts as a private tour for two. Then, out in the vineyard, your guide has to run back to the tasting room to grab something. Now it is just you two. Two chairs are waiting, with a bottle of Sparkling Lucia and two flutes on ice. The rest is up to you!

Our proposal package: $325

  • A private tour for two with your own guide.
  • Time alone in the vineyard, just you two.
  • Two chairs set out and waiting for you.
  • A bottle of Sparkling Lucia and two flutes on ice.

The $325 price includes HST and a 20% tip.

Want photos? You are welcome to bring your own photographer. We do not provide one.

Optional add-on: Add an Estate Board for $35 plus tax: our meats, Ontario cheeses, seasonal house treats, candied walnuts, freeze-dried apples and warm pinsa bread. This is extra. It is not part of the $325.

You can plan a proposal any time of year.

  • Thursday to Sunday.
  • Pick 12 PM, 2 PM, or 4 PM.

Just fill out the form. Our team will reach out within 2 business days to plan it with you.

  2. We reply within 2 business days to plan everything with you.
  3. We send you a Stripe link to pay in advance.
  4. Your date is booked once it is paid.
Your proposal, start to finish. A private tour for two. $325, tax and tip in. Step 1: Arrive at Shale Ridge for your private tour for two. Step 2: Walk the vineyard with your guide. Step 3: Your guide has to run back to the tasting room to grab something. Now it is just you two. Step 4: Find two chairs and a bottle of Sparkling Lucia with two flutes on ice, all set out for you. Step 5: Pop the question. Step 6: If you like, stay for dinner at our restaurant. Book it on its own. It costs extra.

Good to know

  • You can bring some decorations. Just ask us first.
  • Want to keep the night going? Book dinner at our restaurant. It is a separate booking and cost.

Cancellation policy

  • Cancel or change 7 days or more before your date: you get a full refund.
  • Cancel within 7 days of your date: your refund comes as a Shale Ridge gift card. You can use it online or here at Shale Ridge.
  • If you do not show up, you lose what you paid.
  • To cancel or change, email info@shaleridge.ca.
