The 15K run will begin at 8:30am from the BackRoads Hops Farm (28966 Coldstream Road, Parkhill, ON)

The 5K run will begin at 9:30am from Shale Ridge Estate Winery & Cidery

RELEASE OF LIABILITY, WAIVER OF CLAIMS, ASSUMPTION OF RISKS AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

By participating in the BackRoads Ridge Fun Run, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined below.

Organization

This agreement applies to Shale Ridge Estate Winery & Cidery and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, volunteers, sponsors, representatives, successors, and assigns (collectively referred to as the "Releasees").

Event

For the purposes of this agreement, the "Event" includes the BackRoads Ridge Fun Run and all related activities, services, transportation, facilities, and event operations.

Protective Equipment

Participants are responsible for wearing any protective equipment they deem necessary and for participating within their own abilities and limitations.

Assumption of Risks

I understand that participation in the Event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:

• Falls, slips, and loss of balance
• Uneven terrain, gravel, rocks, and road hazards
• Changing weather and environmental conditions
• Motor vehicle traffic
• Other participants, pedestrians, and cyclists
• Domestic or wild animals
• Equipment failure
• Travel to and from the Event
• The actions or negligence of other participants or the Releasees

I freely accept and fully assume all risks associated with participation in the Event, including the possibility of personal injury, illness, property damage, or death.

Release of Waiver

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Event, I agree to:

1. Waive any and all claims against the Releasees arising from my participation in the Event.
2. Release the Releasees from liability for any loss, damage, injury, or death resulting from participation in the Event, including claims arising from negligence.
3. Indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any claims brought by third parties as a result of my participation.
4. Acknowledge that this agreement is binding upon my heirs, executors, administrators, and legal representatives.
5. Agree that this agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and that any legal proceedings relating to this agreement shall be brought exclusively within Ontario.

By completing the waiver acknowledgement form below, I confirm that I have read, understood, and agree to the terms of this Release of Liability, Waiver of Claims, Assumption of Risks and Indemnity Agreement.
